I think you’re doing it right! On an EUC, arms don’t need to be doing much most of the time. Letting them swing or relax naturally is totally normal and it helps with balance and keeps your upper body loose.
When you’re accelerating, climbing, or taking sharper turns, using your arms a bit for balance is also normal. Most riders just let their arms move however feels stable and comfortable, instead of holding them in one "proper" position.
The only real tip is: don’t force anything. Keep your shoulders relaxed. Let your arms move freely and use them when you need a little extra balance or control. The more you ride, the more natural it feels.
These PEVs are fairly new, and it might feel a bit awkward but that is because you are on a single wheel and no natural place for arms to go.
