risks of EUC riding - roadrash - November 11, 2025 I have noticed that many EUC wear full armor, knee and elbow pads as well as full face helmet, even leathers (track racers). How likely are you to get badly hurt on these? You are blasting through on one wheel and a pretty fast speed. Anyone ever ended up in a hospital after a crash, or can you usually walk off? Share your personal experiences with me - the newbie. RE: risks of EUC riding - Guru - November 28, 2025 Wearing gear is much more important than on escooters or ebikes. In general you will see EUC riders much more geared up than other PEVs and there is a good reason for that. You are just on 1 wheel. The less wheels you have the less contact with the ground and you can't get any less than 1 :) Broken clavicle, fractured finger, full ER visits, broken collarbones, severe road rash, skin grafts, broken arms/legs/elbows, dislocated shoulders - the list keeps going. These are all much too common. Armor/pads + gloves + full face helmet. Wear your gear! |
