how does EUC acceleration and braking work? - Olive - November 8, 2025 Hi people. I am mostly a scooter guy but these EUCs are gaining my attention. I watched allot of videos and I can't figure out how this thing works in terms of acceleration and braking. There are pedals foot rests that you stand on, I see that. I understand you shit left to right to turn, but how does it work in terms acceleration and braking? Do these pedals twist slightly? Is there a sensor in the pedal or is there some sensor inside the EUC that senses the tilt and accelerates or brakes accordingly? RE: how does EUC acceleration and braking work? - Guru - November 24, 2025 Pedals do not twist. It uses gyroscopes and accelerometers. So yes, it is a form of a sensor, but not on the pedals. The EUC senses that the rider is "falling forward" To keep the wheel under you, the motor spins faster. This forward spin = acceleration. The IMU senses backward tilt. The control board slows the wheel to keep it under your center of gravity. This slowdown = braking. |
